The Catalyst Pack is a beautiful mid-capacity handlebar and saddle bag. A more compact option than the Zeitgeist Pack, the Catalystâs trim profile allows for more tire clearance and narrower drop bars. Utilize the flapâs daisy chain of webbing to thread a Bungee Booster and stash a layer. This compact and rock-steady pack is a great option for shredding some gravel and makes a great edition to a lightweight bikepacking rig.

Step 1: Measure the spacing of your handlebars, inside-to-inside, at the hoods.
Step 2: If you have integrated shifting, enlist a friend to engage the levers fully into the center space between the bars, and measure the space from tip-to-tip.
Clearance (height) specs for use at the handlebars and on the saddle
Youâll need a minimum of 10â (25.5cm) of space between your bicycle handlebars and the top of your front or rear tire to use the Catalyst Pack without a support or rack. Keep in mind that a weighted down pack may sag into the wheel, and pay attention to avoid abrasion.
With a rack: As little as 6.5âł (16.5cm) of clearance is required to run the Catalyst Pack on the front with a Carradice Universal Bar Rack. Note that the Carradice Bagman Support is not compatible with the Catalyst Pack.

I would have preferred a different color cinch and tie-down than pink.
Perfect size. I ordered a Zeitgeist first and found it a bit unwieldy for riding around town. My old burrito bag is too small. Catalyst was just right.
I've been running this bag for what feels like ages (5 years? 6?) on a variety of different bikes. In that time, I've had other bags, but this one always comes back as the winner.
It's seen 1000's of miles, loaded to the max, empty, and everywhere in between, and still looks ready for more.
I actually prefer the catalyst over the big brother zeitgeist, fab's chest, or any all the other larger bags I've tried, for 1 main reason, that top map pocket! Perfect place to stick my phone for easy "wait where was I going" navigation. Side pockets are nice, but often feel cramped up against the sides of the bars, and being able to slip a phone or map in and out of that top flap while riding is huge. To the point that when my phone died, I rejected the "upgrade" and bought an old replacement phone, specifically so it would still slip into that pocket.
Being a little smaller, it's also more likely to fit anywhere. Maxing out capacity is cool, but 0L of storage if you can't fit it between your bars is not. I have yet to encounter a bike this will not fit on. It's been on everything in our house from my partners tiny 45-49cm bikes, to my 60-62cm frames, and it looks great and fits everything.
It's not a bag to throw an entire weekend worth of gear in. But combined with a pair of panniers, and a saddle with loops, it's a perfect piece of a campout / touring kit. Or just daily commuting.
It's been living on my Rivendell for some time now, and just like that bike, I have no intention to ever replace the bag

Pack is ok, wanted the bigger but accidentally got the medium but worst part bought during a sale and was charged $40 extra and company won't even reply back
